Jody Phillips

Hirevision Career Coach

Biography

Jody Phillips–the dynamic host of a popular daily radio segment on job tips–brings the perfect background and personality to her mission of helping people find work, change careers, or establish themselves as successful entrepreneurs.

Praised by grateful clients as “a born career coach”–and by seminar audiences as “captivating and extremely knowledgeable”–she has an in–depth understanding of the challenges you face.

Are You Looking For Work?

Using the perspective gained during more than a decade of operating her own employment agency, she explains the ins and outs of job hunting with warmth, wit, and wisdom. Jody has helped to place thousands of people in temporary and permanent positions at Tier-One corporations in a broad spectrum of fields (including automotive, financial services, telecommunications, consumer packaged goods, and the public sector). She’s an expert whose advice is worth heeding.

Do You Dream of Becoming Your Own Boss?

If you’re ready to redefine yourself by starting your own business (or if you’ve already taken the plunge), Jody can coach you through the complex maze of what’s required to succeed as an entrepreneur.

She has demonstrated her own ability to start and grow a profitable business: within 14 months of being established, Higher Vision was generating gross sales of more than $1 million–and it continued to prosper, even through several economic downturns. Adapting to recent market changes has positioned her perfectly to advise you on how to do the same.

Are You Planning a Corporate Event?

A compelling speaker and facilitator, Jody has designed and led sales and communications workshops for a number of high–profile clients, including Hilton International, Bank of Hawaii, and Deloitte.

Having travelled the world and lived in Micronesia and Singapore, as well as various North American locations, she is culturally multilingual and has a talent for communicating with people at all levels with empathy, compassion, humour, and common sense.

Dual citizenship allows her to coach, consult, and speak in both the U.S. and Canada. While piloting Higher Vision, Jody has also single–handedly raised an amazing son, who now attends the University of Toronto.

She operates her business from a Victorian house in Toronto’s historic Cabbagetown neighbourhood, where she lives with Blue (a 90-lb. Golden Retriever) and Gigabyte (a Persian cat).

An exercise junkie, she swims and works out daily. To relax, she meditates and reads voraciously in order to feed her vast curiosity about the world and its workings.
